You have been instrumental in our work to keep Ravi home with his wife, Amy, their family and friends, and our community. We write now to ask for your support once again as we stand with Ravi in this next chapter.
We’re preparing to help Ravi avoid a repeat of what has happened in the past, we he went to a routine supervision check-in six years ago and was abruptly taken from us. After an outpouring of community support and years of advocacy, Ravi was granted three years of “deferred action” from deportation in 2021.
Now Ravi’s deferred action protection is expiring and ICE has scheduled a supervision check-in in Manhattan on Monday, January 13 at 7:00am (time may change). As in years past, we are gathering with faith leaders to hold a peaceful solidarity vigil in Foley Square while Ravi is at this appointment.
We do not know what the day will hold, but we know that we are stronger together. With the upcoming Presidential administration, we join hands and hearts as we organize in the face of much uncertainty.
